Avatar: The Way of Water leaked on torrent sites before India launch tomorrow

James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water is all set to release in India tomorrow i.e., on 16th December 2022, in six languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. However, ahead of its launch scheduled on Friday, the movie has been leaked onto torrent and other piracy-enabling sites in various quality versions and varying sizes. The first leaked version of the movie was spotted around 11 AM IST i.e., on 15th December 2022, on torrent sites with the title “CAM”, signifying it might have been made using a video camera in a cinema.

Leaked versions of Avatar: The Way of Water and Disney, 20th Century Studios have downgraded quality. The same can be ascertained via publicly available screenshots that show major issues with the leaked version’s colour, contrast, sharpness, brightness, contrast, and so on. There are issues with the audio quality as well. While the user comments have disclosed genuineness of the leaked version, it has also revealed that certain available leaked versions are in fact just a trap to transfer viruses and malware on users’ computers.
