Redmi Pad tablet launched: price in India, specifications, sale date

Redmi Pad price in India, sale date

The new Redmi tablet is priced at Rs 14,999 for the 3GB + 64GB, Rs 17,999 for the 4GB + 128GB version and Rs 19,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model. It comes in Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green colours. The tablet will be available across, Mi Home, Flipkart, and retail outlets starting from October 5th, 2022 at 12 PM IST. The 6GB + 128GB Mint Green model will be available exclusively on from October 5th at 10 AM IST.

As a part of the introductory offer, the Redmi Pad will be available at Rs 12,999, Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively. Additionally, there is a 10 percent bank discount through Bank of Baroda exclusively on from October 5th to 9th.

The Redmi Pad sports a 10.61-inch 2K 10-bit LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 70 percent NTSC colour gamut, in-built SGS eye protection, TUV Rheinland certification, and 400nits brightness. The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with ARM Mali G57 MC2. It comes in three versions: 3GB/4GB/6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage that is further expandable via microSD card.

Redmi Pad design

The Redmi Pad runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 for Pad. The company has promised 2 versions of Android and MIUI updates and 3 years of security updates. The tablet is equipped with quad speakers, Dolby Atmos, and an 8,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support but the company is providing a 22.5W adapter in the box. It measures 250.5×158.1×7.1mm and weighs 465 grams. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port.

Moving to optics, the Redmi Pad packs an 8MP rear camera that can record videos in FHD resolution. There is an 8MP sensor with a 105-degree field-of-view (for 4GB/6GB models) FocusFrame on the front for video chats. The company is offering 2 months of free YouTube Premium subscription.
