In a response to a user query on Twitter on when the Nothing Phone (1) would launch, Pei replied “6/9 at 4:20.” This would be June 9th at 4:20 PM according to the US date format. While some Twitter users are taking the date seriously, others are talking about it being a joke.
Nothing Phone (1) Launch date
The Nothing Phone (1) is confirmed to debut during Summer this year. The skepticism behind the launch date is that Carl Pei usually likes to create a buzz around the launch date reveal so as to bring in the hype, but a simple reveal like this to a user query would be surprising.
The recently leaked specifications hinted the Nothing Phone (1) will come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The phone may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor paired with Adreno 642 GPU. The chipset will be aided by 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone reportedly packs a 4,500mAh battery that will have support for wireless charging.
