While the Weibo post hasn’t explicitly mentioned the ‘Note 12‘ series, there are chances it could be what the top executive has been talking about. Much like the Redmi Note 10 and Note 11 series, we believe the upcoming Note lineup (which should probably be called Note 12) will have multiple models priced at different segments to cater to a wider audience.
Redmi Note 12 series coming soon
In a Weibo post, the top executive said that since 2021, the Redmi brand has decided to launch two Redmi Note series phones a year, starting with the Redmi Note 10 series that debuted in H1 2021. This was followed by the Note 11 series in China in H2 2021. While Note 10 series focused on performance, the Note 11 lineup was termed as -an all-rounder.
The CEO reiterated that the brand is looking to employ the same strategy by launching 2 series of Redmi Note devices in a year going forward. This means the Redmi Note 12 series will see a performance boost this year followed by an all-rounder Redmi Note 13 series launch in H2 2022.
Towards the end of the post, Redmi CEO, Lu replied to fans that the company had received feedback from its fans and users that the Redmi naming scheme has become confusing. Thus, the Redmi brand is currently open to any suggestions from customers for a name for its next ‘Redmi Note’ series. Current suggestions from replies include Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 11T, and Redmi Note 12X, Redmi Note 12T.
Could Redmi hint at a new naming structure? only time would tell us.
